Victims have been reported using the following methods. Please be cautious of suspicious phone calls and emails.
This scam involves someone calling out "It's me, it's me" over the phone, pretending to be a relative or acquaintance, and lying about being involved in an accident or other trouble, demanding money.
This scam involves posing as a tax office or city hall employee, instructing you to operate an ATM to receive a refund, and then withdrawing money from your account.
This scam involves falsely promising "guaranteed profits" or "guaranteed losses" to trick people into purchasing fictitious investment products or unlisted stocks.
This type of fraud involves using social media, dating sites, online games, etc. to steal personal information or make unjustified claims.
Don't rush into things and don't give in to what the other person says.
Don't make decisions alone; consult with someone you trust.
If you are a victim, contact the police immediately.
If you have provided your account information, contact your financial institution immediately and request that your account be suspended.
